Stories in the Tampa Bay TimesTampa Tribune, FOX 13, Bay News 9, NBC WFLA TV, Newsradio 970 WFLA AM Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay’s 10, among other media, about how the Hillsborough County School Board agreed on a $2 million settlement with the family of former Wharton High School football player Sean McNamee, who suffered a serious brain injury on the school football field. The settlement is the largest in the school district’s history. The family’s lawyer, Tampa trial attorney Steve Yerrid, also convinced school officials to create the district’s first uniform protocol for protecting student athletes from traumatic head injuries.

Tampa attorney Richard Blau talks with the Tallahassee Democrat about  how two lawmakers who made medicinal marijuana legal in Florida are back for another attempt, hoping to expand the Compassionate Medicinal Cannabis Act of 2014 by amending last year’s Right to Try Act to allow terminally ill patients to use full-strength marijuana.
