Miami attorney Peter Quinter talk in a page-oner in today’s Miami Herald about how he will be leading a group of several dozen Florida lawyers and non-lawyers on a legal educational mission to Cuba. On the trip, believed to be the first of its kind, Quinter and fellow travelers will meet with lawyers from Cuba and other nations, along with various business and political officials, with the aim of learning more about the Cuban legal system.
The chair of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar, Quinter once served as counsel for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Southeast Regional Headquarters (where he once enforced trade sanctions against the island nation). He chairs the Customs & International Trade Law Group at the statewide law firm of GrayRobinson.
