Stories in today’s Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times about attorney Mark Bentley’s suit against the City of Tampa and the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County (EPC) on behalf of South Tampa craft beer tavern World of Beer.
World of Beer, which has been cited several times by the city for allegedly playing live music too loud, contends that the EPC, not Tampa, has the legal authority to enforce noise level rules. What’s more, World of Beer contends in this suit that the EPC cannot legally share authority with the city to enforce such rules.
